Held twice a year in Florence, Pitti Bimbo is one of the most important international childrenswear trade fairs, bringing together designers, buyers, press and industry professionals at the historic Fortezza da Basso. More than a trade showcase, it acts as a key barometer of the industry, highlighting emerging talent alongside established names and offering a glimpse into the creative direction of upcoming seasons.
For this season’s edition, a curated selection within the fair highlighted the CABINA area, showcasing a focused group of independent, design-led brands alongside the wider exhibitor showcase. Positioned within the main event, CABINA brought smaller, more experimental labels into sharper focus, emphasising their creative identity, material innovation and storytelling.
This season’s edit turns to those brands, spotlighting a selection of emerging and under-the-radar labels defined by originality, craftsmanship and concept. From Romania to Italy and beyond, they reflect a quieter shift in contemporary childrenswear towards sustainability, versatility and thoughtful design.
Founded by Violeta Dumitriu, OONA Kids is a Romanian childrenswear brand born shortly after the arrival of her first daughter. With a background in pharmacy and deep family roots in knitwear manufacturing, Violeta’s approach to design is both intuitive and informed by a lifelong connection to textiles.
OONA Kids is defined by its timeless, versatile aesthetic and its commitment to conscious production. Italian deadstock fabrics form the foundation of each collection, with a strong emphasis on natural fibres and small-scale Romanian manufacturing. Around 90% of materials used are natural, reinforcing the brand’s focus on longevity and responsible sourcing.
The design language is quietly innovative, with adaptable garments that can be transformed through removable elements and clever construction. Designed for children aged 0–10, the brand speaks to parents who value durability, softness and thoughtful detail over seasonal trends.

TNTRM is the emerging teenage extension of Infantium Victoria, developed by founder Julia Gaydina in response to a gap in the market for expressive yet age-appropriate clothing for teenage girls.
Inspired by her 13-year-old daughter, the collection explores identity during early adolescence, offering an alternative to overly sexualised or logo-heavy teen fashion. Instead, TNTRM focuses on modest, contemporary silhouettes designed to support experimentation while maintaining comfort and confidence.
Long skirts, structured dresses and fluid tailoring define the aesthetic, with an emphasis on versatility and wearability. The brand has also naturally resonated with a diverse global audience, including families seeking more modest design options aligned with cultural or religious values.
Produced within Infantium Victoria’s established ethical framework, TNTRM reflects a thoughtful expansion into a new age category while maintaining the parent brand’s commitment to responsibility and design integrity.
