“AW20. Road Trips
A tribute to our most exciting childhood memories, when our families went on road trips in the family station wagon.
Nothing screams holidays quite like the frenetic excitement of a vacation looming in the horizon. We owe much of our childhood adventures to that classic rite of passage: the family road trip.
The days before the journey starts, the old-fashioned map to meticulously plan the ultimate two-week adventure. What to see? What to visit? Where to stop and sleep?
Our parents’ leading skills in holding all suggestions and different requests and makingus feeling special at the same time.
The preparation of what to pack and bring along, the meals, the snacks. That chaos!
Who sat in each back seat and for how many miles. By the window, in the middle? Which pillow to take.
The playlist! Oh god! How to reach a musical consensus? The song contests, the license plates numbers’ game, the list of countries starting with “A” letter. And despite the occasional sibling spats in the back seat, we kept it entertaining and exciting along the way!
How they seemed infinite hours with nothing to do, the books read, the table games played, the “are we there yet?” question as each mile passed …..
We want to perpetuate these rituals for as long as possible. To replicate it with our kids and make the best family memories ever!
Cheers to road trips!”
Cheers back at you Piu Piu Chick! We love the collection and the thought behind it!
