Bella Diosa, meaning “beautiful goddess” in Spanish, and was founded by a wonderful mum of 3 called Clare. “We would be scouring the streets looking for little boutiques to purchase Nancy’s spring, summer and winter wardrobe. That is when I discovered my love of children’s fashion and Bella Diosa was born.
But it is not just about focusing on fashion. With three children, I wanted things that could be used across all seasons and could be passed down. Quality is key, buy better buy less”.
Clare launched Bella Diosa on Instagram and as interest grew, set up a website and a pop-up shop at Albert Dock in Liverpool, before establishing a permanent store in Allerton Road, Woolton, Liverpool. As demand has continued to grow, she is expanding the business into a second retail store in Cheshire with the Hale Barnes shop.
And while the internet side of the business has continued during lockdown, Clare believes it is the personal touch Bella Diosa offers that keeps people coming back.
She said: “We are entirely customer focused and love that face-to-face interaction with people, helping them find exactly what they are looking for. Our products are premium and specialist, and our customer service must match that. Face to face relationships with me and my team will always remain at the heart of the brand’s philosophy.
“People’s shopping habits change, and they want to shop locally where they know the staff and staff know them. We have regular customers we know well, and they could come in one week and buy a dress and the next time they are in, we can suggest a hat or sandals – something that has just come in that goes perfectly with it.
“I attend trade shows all over the world that inspire me. Nothing beats the excitement of putting together a collection from different countries and cultures straight off the runway. It helps keep Bella Diosa stay ahead of the curve and I could not be more excited to bring these brands to Cheshire and give your fashion forward minis a mix of individuality and high quality childrenswear.”
For Clare and the team, they take great pleasure in creating unique collections for children, but the real reward comes from the knowledge that their premium clothing will not be discarded after a single use or stay on the hanger with the tags still on.
She said: “My collections come from all over the world with each piece being individually selected from brands and fashion houses that are not easily available in the UK.
it. My collections are timeless made for you to hold onto and cherish. Pass down through the generations an instant heirloom”.
