It’s a child-sized celebration of colour, texture, and playful design, a true translation of Leda Devoldere’s distinctive aesthetic into the world of childhood.
Atelier Leda was founded in 2019, when Leda herself was just 25. Since then, her studio has grown, and so has her audience along with their lives.
As friends began forming families, a recurring question emerged: “Do your plaids come in a smaller size?” That simple question became the spark for MINI.
MINI is more than a product line, it’s a love letter to the next generation.
MINI is knitted in Belgium using fine Italian cotton, ensuring a soft, luxurious feel that’s gentle on delicate skin.
Each piece measures 70 x 100 cm, making it the perfect size for cribs, strollers, naps, and cozy corners.
The collection is available in four color combinations, each one designed to feel playful, optimistic, and full of life just like childhood should be.
A thoughtful investment in design, quality, and a piece that can become part of a family’s everyday memories.
Leda Devoldere is a Belgian textile designer based in Ghent. After completing her Master’s degree in Textile Design at KASK School of Arts, she launched Atelier Leda, a studio defined by vivid colour, abstract compositions, and a fearless approach to textiles.
Her work exists in the space between design, interior, and art, and her collections reflect that boundary-pushing spirit.
Alongside MINI, her permanent collections include VELD, LINES, and RECTO VERSO, all knitted with the same dedication to colour and texture.
But Atelier Leda doesn’t stop at readymade objects. Leda also creates custom tufted carpets and collaborates on bespoke projects as a freelance designer. Every piece starts from drawings and collages, where she explores colour balance and abstract line compositions carefully translating them into textiles.
Atelier Leda’s work has been showcased across Europe, including major design events such as:
Milan Design Week (2024)
Antwerp Design Week (2024)
Brussels Design Week (2021, 2022)
Design Fest at the Design Museum Ghent (2022)
Plain/Purl at Design Museum Ghent (2017)
Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven (2024)
These platforms highlight not just the beauty of her work, but its cultural relevance and now, with MINI, her colourful language is entering the homes of families in a whole new way.
As Leda Devoldere passes her love for colour to the next generation, she offers a simple message: May they grow up in a safe, optimistic, and colourful world.
And if this collection is any indication, the world is already becoming a little brighter.
