And according to Mytheresa, the smallest wardrobes should get to have just as much fun with it.
The luxury multi-brand platform has unveiled its Kids Fall/Winter ’26 campaign, bringing together a curated edit of new season childrenswear from some of fashion’s most recognisable names.
Think Bonpoint, Chloé Kids, Donsje, Polo Ralph Lauren Kids and Stella McCartney Kids, among others, brought together through an edit that balances timeless dressing with the reality that the people wearing it are still children.
The mood?
Polished, playful and very ready for autumn.
Mytheresa’s FW26 edit isn’t built around one single aesthetic.
Instead, the campaign brings together different interpretations of luxury childrenswear through a shared emphasis on elegance, comfort and playful sophistication.
There are rich neutral tones and classic tailoring, balanced by cosy textures and more lighthearted details.
It’s the kind of wardrobe that can look beautifully put together without feeling overly formal… an important distinction when your customer might decide to start running approximately thirty seconds after getting dressed.
If summer belongs to the one-piece outfit, autumn belongs to layers.
And Mytheresa is leaning into them.
Tiffany Hsu, Chief Buying & Group Fashion Ventures Officer at Mytheresa, describes the season as bringing together “crisp layering with elevated, fun details”, with a wardrobe intended to feel simultaneously polished and playful.
That’s essentially the formula running through the campaign.
Pieces feel considered individually, but they’re designed to come alive when worn together.
A tailored shape with something softer.
A classic piece beside a playful detail.
Something elegant that still leaves room for adventure.
Because children’s wardrobes don’t need to choose between looking good and actually being useful.
The campaign brings some major childrenswear names under one roof.
Bonpoint sits alongside Chloé Kids, while Donsje, Polo Ralph Lauren Kids and Stella McCartney Kids are among the other labels highlighted for the new season.
Rather than presenting FW26 through one brand’s vision, Mytheresa’s strength is in the mix.
Different design languages become part of one wider wardrobe, allowing classic pieces, contemporary silhouettes and more playful designs to exist together.
It’s luxury kidswear without requiring children to have just one personality.
Which seems appropriate.
And naturally, no autumn wardrobe conversation is complete without the coat.
Among Mytheresa’s season ready highlights is Patachou’s double-breasted mouflon coat, a piece that neatly reflects the wider mood of the edit: classic, warm and polished without losing the charm expected from childrenswear.
Outerwear becomes more than the practical thing thrown over an outfit before leaving the house.
For FW26, it’s part of the look.
And when temperatures drop, that’s exactly where a good autumn wardrobe earns its place.
Perhaps the most appealing thing about Mytheresa’s approach this season is that “luxury” doesn’t automatically translate to precious.
The campaign is still about children going places and doing things.
Hsu describes the collection as a wardrobe for “staying cozy, going after new adventures, and stepping out in style.”
That balance matters.
Because children’s fashion can be beautifully made, carefully styled and genuinely exciting without forgetting the obvious: children need to be children in it.
FW26 keeps the polish but leaves room for personality.
The central idea behind Mytheresa’s campaign is surprisingly simple: everyday dressing can still feel special.
Not every beautiful coat needs a formal occasion.
Not every carefully considered outfit needs to be saved.
And children’s clothes don’t have to sit untouched waiting for the right moment.
Instead, the edit proposes a wardrobe where elevated pieces become part of everyday life, worn for colder mornings, family plans, afternoons outside and whatever adventure happens next.
It’s luxury that’s meant to leave the wardrobe.
The campaign is presented through a dedicated editorial story shot by Luna Conte, bringing Mytheresa’s FW26 selection together visually.
The imagery accompanies the global launch of the new kidswear edit, placing the season’s mix of sophisticated styling, autumnal textures and playful dressing firmly in focus.
Because sometimes the beginning of a new season is all the excuse you need to rethink a wardrobe.
Even when that wardrobe is very small.
