At this time of year, when school is out and tchildren are spending more time at home, it’s important to find activities to do as a family. And since we know that kids love to do adult things, we suggest getting busy in the kitchen! Besides being very fun, it’s also educational. We propose making chocolate salami, since there is no need to use knives or heat. It’s a super easy recipe that kids will love getting their hands on!
200 g plain biscuits or digestives;
100 g sugar;
100 g melted butter;
200 g dark chocolate;
90 ml whole milk;
70 g hazelnuts or almonds (optional);
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence (optional).
Crush the cookies and nuts and set them aside. Melt the dark chocolate with the butter in the microwave or in a bain-marie. Then add the milk, sugar and vanilla essence. Add the biscuits and nuts to the mix. Mould the mixture with your hands until it has a salami shape and wrap it up in aluminium foil, parchment paper or place it in a long cake tin. Leave it in the fridge until firm. Cut into slices and enjoy!
