According to Søren Rørbæk, Founder and Designer behind Camp Novel, the project began with a simple observation about contemporary family life.
“We know that many young families have busy everyday lives, and that getting enough sleep can be a challenge during the early years with young children. For many families, this means that a parent will sometimes sleep alongside their child. Camp Novel was designed with this in mind, first as a cot and later as a spacious bed with room for both child and parent when needed.”
It’s this understanding of real parenting, not idealised parenting, that makes Camp Novel feel so relevant.
